I remember being lost in a cornfield at my great-grandparents’ farm in upstate New York. I must have been only a few years old, so I’m sure I wasn’t actually that far away from my parents, but I couldn’t see them over the tops of the cornstalks. I just remember running down a row and hollering — I was pretty scared!
